Tell Governor Hochul to Sign the Aquatic Invasive Species Bill into Law
December 03, 2021
By Adirondack Council
Earlier this year, you helped us convince state legislators to pass the aquatic species bill that would protect Adirondack waters. You also answered our call to email Governor Cuomo and urge him to sign it into law. Unfortunately, he didn’t take action before he resigned. Now this bill sits on Governor Hochul’s desk, where she will decide to either sign it into law or veto it. We need your help again to make sure she makes the right decision.
This bill would require boat owners to show proof of inspection and/or decontamination of their motorized watercraft before launching in Adirondack waters. This will help protect the Park's waters from invasive species.

Thank you for taking the time to help protect the waters of the Adirondacks!
