Martha Leitner
December 31, 2021
Martha Leitner passed away after a hard-fought battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. She was a 37-year summer resident of the Bartlett Carry Club, presiding as its President for five years. Martha developed a passion for the Adirondacks after serving in the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics. The Adirondacks became her spiritual place. She raised three daughters in New York City and on the Lake, and found the time and grit to become a 46er even as her Alzheimer’s condition emerged. She is survived by her husband, Paul, their daughters and husbands and one grandson.
